Fostering Innovative Thinking and Environmental Integration

In 2023, D&A Group and Beijing Institute of Fashion Technology’s School of Fashion Accessory joined forces to inject new vitality into the “Leather Material and Craft Technology” course. This cross-disciplinary collaboration not only demonstrates our firm commitment to sustainable development but also aims to inspire the younger generation’s boundless creativity, cultivate their awareness and understanding of sustainability, and lay a solid foundation for building a better future.

The “Leather Material and Craft Technology” Course

As a mandatory course for Product Design (Bag Design) at the School of Fashion Accessory, Beijing Institute of Fashion Technology, this course provides students with valuable opportunities to delve into leather materials. Throughout the course, students engage in a comprehensive process, including material selection, design, production, and presentation, which presents both challenges and rewards. This collaboration not only provides students with hands-on access to D&A Group’s wide range of product offerings, including D&A Edge Polymer’s bio-based water-based edge paint products and Lorence ‘s Eco-friendly Aqua Stain Series, but also allows them to integrate their professional expertise in fashion design and handcrafting skills from Beijing Institute of Fashion Technology. Consequently, students develop a deep understanding and practical ability in the sustainable development of leather craftsmanship.
