D&A Edge Polymer is Recognized as BioPreferred Program Champion

As the USDA BioPreferred ® Program is celebrating its 20 years, in recognition of the program participants’ faith in their mission. D&A Edge Polymer Ltd (D&A Edge Polymer) is recognized as a BioPreferred Program Champion. As USDA mentioned in the letter “This badge signifies your long-term commitment to using renewable materials, reducing our reliance on petroleum, supporting the bioeconomy, and bettering the planet. “

It is our mission to achieve sustainable development within the edge paint industry. As a responsible chemical manufacturer, D&A Edge Polymer took the lead in participating in the USDA BioPreferred® Program. Since joining the program, D&A Edge Polymer has been improving the bio-based edge paint series and products. Our bio-based edge paint series includes edge paint primer, colored edge paint and adhesion promoter.

With in-house technologies and innovations, D&A Edge Polymer is committed to developing eco-friendly products while maintaining their high performance. BIO-Circul®️ Series Edge Paint is USDA Certified Bio-based Product. The bio-based contents of these products are determined by ASTM D6866 standard test method.

Primer

Primer is designed to give excellent adhesion, cold-flex resistance and edge covering power.  Given its high viscosity, excellent covering and penetration power, it helps to improve our customers’ productivity during application.

Colored Edge Paint

It consists of three series based on the brightness – Matt, Semi-Matt and Gloss series.  Our R&D team developed various colors to reflect latest fashion trend.  Meanwhile, customers can customize the colors for their own needs.

Adhesion Promoter

Made of a special polyurethane with strong penetration power to enhance the adhesion between primer and materials.

About the BioPreferred® Program

Managed by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), the goal of the BioPreferred Program is to increase the purchase and use of biobased products. The BioPreferred Program was created by the 2002 Farm Bill and reauthorized and expanded as part of the Agriculture Improvement Act of 2018 (2018 Farm Bill). The Program’s purpose is to spur economic development, create new jobs and provide new markets for farm commodities. The increased development, purchase, and use of biobased products reduces reliance on petroleum, increases the use of renewable agricultural resources, and contributes to reducing adverse environmental and health impacts.
